Elementary School

Primary School for Children in Grades 1 to 5 in Central Olomouc

A safe start. Language confidence. Joy of learning.

Our Elementary programme gives children strong academic foundations while nurturing curiosity, independence and confidence in both Czech and English.
Children learn in small groups, in a calm environment, guided by teachers who know them well.

Lower Elementary – the first school steps

Grades 1 and 2 are a time when children discover that school can be a safe and exciting place. In our Lower Elementary class, we combine the Montessori approach with daily Czech-English experience and plenty of hands-on exploration.

/01

Safe environment

Small class size, stable teachers and clear structure help children feel secure and confident.

/02

Reading, writing and maths – clear and meaningful

We focus on strong basics. Montessori materials lead children from concrete understanding to abstraction and true comprehension.

/03

Every day in Czech and English

Czech teachers and native speakers work side-by-side. English is not a subject – it’s a natural part of songs, projects, play and everyday communication.

Upper Elementary – towards independence

In Grades 3–5, children build on the solid foundation from Lower Elementary.
They continue learning through Montessori principles, with more project work, presentations and teamwork.

English becomes even more integrated — used for reading, discussion and simple research tasks.

Czech and English – languages children live, not just learn

We don’t call ourselves “bilingual” just because we offer more than English lessons.

At our school, children:

At the same time, we build strong skills in Czech literacy and communication – reading comprehension, writing, expressing opinions and critical thinking.

A team that truly supports each child.

Our Elementary team combines Montessori expertise with experience in international education.
All our teachers are qualified Czech Elementary or English language teachers, combining the best of the Czech educational system with the Montessori and IB philosophy.
As a registered Czech school (MŠMT), we meet all national curriculum standards while offering a more individual, creative and bilingual learning experience.
Stability, warmth and personal connection are at the heart of our classrooms.
We value open communication with parents — through regular meetings, open lessons, project presentations and community events.

Enrolment for Grade 1 – how it works

Enrolment for Grade 1 takes place on 15 January 2026.

We don’t hold formal entrance exams.
Each child is invited to a short individual meeting and classroom visit.

The goal is simple — we want to understand how the child learns, communicates and responds to the environment.
At the same time, parents can see how we work and decide whether our approach fits their expectations.

Admission is a mutual decision: the child should benefit from being part of our school, and the school should be the right environment for the child to grow.

This professional and respectful process helps us make sure that every child who joins our community can truly succeed here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child need to speak English?
No. Most children start with little or no English. They learn naturally through daily contact and play.
What if my child is shy or sensitive?
Our small classes and respectful approach help children adapt at their own pace.
Do parents need Montessori experience?
Not at all. We guide children (and parents) from the very beginning.
